The information on our website provides detailed information for each step of the process, as well as detailed information regarding how to maintain your financial aid. Our goal is to provide you with the information and resources needed so you can make informed decisions in terms of financing your education.
Register by the Census Date
Registering for Classes? Be sure to register before the Census Date:
- The Census Date for Fall 2021 is Friday, September 10, 2021.
- The Census Date for Winter 2021 is Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
- The Census Date for Summer 2021 is Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
Submitting Your FAFSA
- Students may submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as Oct. 1 each year.
- Submit the 2020-2021 FAFSA for Fall 2020, Winter 2021 and Summer 2021.
- Submit the 2021-2022 FAFSA for Fall 2021, Winter 2022 and Summer 2022.
- Be sure to add HFC's School Code: 002270.
We strongly encourage you (or your parents) to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) when completing the FAFSA. This will ensure accuracy on your FAFSA and save time in the event you are selected for the verification process.

In-Person Help (when campus is open)
When we are able to be open, the Welcome Center offers in-person help at the Enrollment Lab for filling out your FAFSA, submitting Financial Aid Documents, and understanding your Financial Aid Offer.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are available to help you by phone or videoconference at the number above.
