The information on our website provides detailed information for each step of the process, as well as detailed information regarding how to maintain your financial aid. Our goal is to provide you with the information and resources needed so you can make informed decisions in terms of financing your education.
Register by the Census Date
Registering for Classes? Be sure to register before the Census Date.
Submitting Your FAFSA
- Submit the 2025-2026 FAFSA for Fall 2025, Winter 2026 and Summer 2026
- Submit the 2026-2027 FAFSA for Fall 2026, Winter 2027 and Summer 2027
- Be sure to add HFC's School Code: 002270.
The State of Michigan will code your FAFSA for the school you list first on your FAFSA. You are encouraged to add HFC’s school code first so that you will show on State of MI rosters for HFC.

In-Person Help (when campus is open)
When we are able to be open, the Welcome Center offers in-person help at the Enrollment Lab for filling out your FAFSA, submitting Financial Aid Documents, and understanding your Financial Aid Offer.
