Checklist for Student Success

The items on this list will provide access to services, and help ensure your success at Henry Ford College. Review the information in each section to make sure you have what you need before classes begin for the coming semester.

Student ID Cards

Go to Campus Safety (N) to get your free student ID card. Then register your student ID card at the HFC Library (B) for access to the library and online research resources.

Student Portal

Take a look at your Student Portal, where you will find important information about your student status, classes, key dates, and links to our student services.

HawkMail

HawkMail is a lifetime email address for students powered by Google. All official HFC communications about financial aid, registration, and campus news go to your HawkMail address.

Campus Map and Parking

View the HFC campus map and driving directions. All student parking lots are free. Find additional parking just up Evergreen from main campus at Fairlane Town Center. Shuttle busses run between Fairlane and all campuses throughout the day.

Academic Calendar

View an online version of each semester's Academic Calendar for important enrollment and class schedule dates.

College Store

The HFC College Store is your place for official HFC textbooks, gear, and supplies. Buy or sell new and used textbooks, find official HFC gear, as well as purchase software, notebooks, and gifts online or in person at the College Store (C).

Campus Dining

The Student and Culinary Arts Center is home to a wide variety of dining options for students. Visit the Skylight Cafe for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack between classes, or stop by the Fifty-One O One Restaurant for a full-service dining experience.

Campus Life

HFC has campus-wide events and concerts; varsity sports; theatre, dance and musical performances; an art gallery; study abroad programs; and nearly 40 student organizations to join. Get involved with on-campus activities!
