HFC Username and Password Help
First Time Login
If you have never logged in before and are new to HFC, you can login once with your initial password and then you will be prompted to set challenge questions and create a password to complete your account.
- Search for your username
- Initial password is four digits of your birth month and day. Example: April 1st birthday = 0401
If your initial password does not work, you can activate your account with your username, HANK ID Number, Last Name, and Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.
Log in with your HFC username and password
HFC uses one username and password for all campus technology.
We recommend that you change your password regularly. Your HFC password will expire and prompt you to change it every six months. If you think someone has stolen your password, change it immediately.
You may not be able to log in or reset your password for the following reasons:
- your password expired
- your account is locked from too many failed login attempts
- your cellphone number is missing or incorrect in our records (password reset uses cellphone)
If you are still unable to log in, contact the Information Technology Services Help Desk.
per nancy Nancy Meyers [Today at 1:35 PM] in #helpdesk @tehart only thing I see is that the hours for the help desk are incorrect... all year round now 7am - 7pm Monday - Thursday, 7am - 4:30pm on Fridays. Other than that I believe it is very clear for the students to use.
HANK ID Number
Your HANK ID Number is your unique, permanent, seven-digit HFC Student/Employee ID number. Your HANK ID Number is used on many official HFC forms. Your HANK ID Number might begin with zeros to make it seven digits long (example: 0499654). These zeros are part of the official number.
You can see your HANK ID Number in your Profile information once you log in to the Student Portal.
