Save a lot of money while taking top-quality classes from home or on our campuses. As a full member of the Hawk family, you'll have full access to all our student success support services.

Be our guest at Henry Ford College!

If you are enrolled at any accredited college or university, you can take classes at HFC as a Guest Student (sometimes called a Visiting Student), and then transfer all those HFC credits back to your home college or university.

Why study at HFC this summer? You can get ahead as a guest student!

  • HFC’s low tuition rates give you huge long-term savings.
  • Work around your summer plans with online and on-campus course options.
  • Our classes are the same as what you would take at your regular university. Your HFC credits will fully transfer to your university, and will count toward your general education or academic major requirements. (Note: All HFC credits transfer. Please verify with your Registrar that your credits will transfer to your specific major program.)
  • Consider a Visiting Year at HFC rather than taking time off from your university studies.
  • Reduce your course load at your regular university, or reduce the time it will take you to complete your bachelor’s degree.

The HFC guest / visiting student process (it’s easy)

  1. Complete the Michigan Uniform Guest Application (a fillable PDF application). Part 2 must be completed by your home university or college.
  2. Submit your completed application to HFC via email to registrar@hfcc.edu
  3. Check your email for information on how to set up your student account and register for classes
  4. Register for classes (You will be responsible to verify that your home institution will accept the specific HFC credits you plan to complete. Your registrar can tell you.)
  5. Pay for classes (You will be responsible for all tuition and fees at Henry Ford College)
  6. After successfully completing your guest courses at HFC, request that your Official Transcripts be sent to your home university, so your credits will be on your university transcript.
