In a public meeting on April 10, 2026, the HFC Board of Trustees appointed Mr. David M. Knezek, Jr. as the College's seventh president, succeeding Interim President Dr. Lori M. Gonko.

The Macomb Community College Board of Trustees selected HFC Interim President Dr. Lori M. Gonko as the incoming President at MCC, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.
