Henry Ford College Board of Trustees invites visionary leaders to apply for College Presidency
The Henry Ford College Board of Trustees is officially inviting applications and nominations for the position of College President. This national search marks a pivotal moment for the College as it seeks a visionary leader to build on its 87-year legacy of student success and community impact.
The College has released a comprehensive Presidential Search Profile (PDF), which outlines the leadership agenda, professional requirements, and characteristics desired in the next president. This profile was developed with significant input from the HFC community, ensuring that the next leader’s priorities align with the needs of students, faculty, staff, alumni, the local community, business partners, and the greater region.
“Our goal is to identify a leader who is not only a champion for academic excellence but also deeply committed to our mission of being ‘Future Driven,’” said the HFC Board of Trustees. “We are looking for an innovator who values transparency, equity, and the strong community partnerships that make Henry Ford College a cornerstone of this region.”
The prior president, Russ Kavalhuna, J.D., left HFC in July 2025 to become president of Western Michigan University. Lori Gonko, Ed.D., is serving as Interim President.
