College Store extra hours May 6-9; summer information

The College Store (Building C on the main campus) will be open on Monday, May 6, through Thursday, May 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., allowing you an extra hour to purchase textbooks and supplies as the Summer 2024 semester begins on May 7. The store will resume regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the rest of the Summer 2024 semester on Friday, May 10).

You can view summer textbook information on the College Store website. We accept and encourage online orders. We update book information on the website daily as we receive new orders.

Effective May 6: You can begin using financial aid for College Store online purchases. You should check the Max Limit Available before selecting “Fin. Aid” as a payment method. We will cancel all orders with insufficient aid funding. If you are using financial aid in the store, you will need to provide a valid HFC student ID or other valid picture ID in addition to your HFC student ID number.

Note regarding Thursday sales: You cannot use financial aid on the College Store website on Thursdays until the weekly refunds have been processed.

Effective May 6: You can begin using third party sponsorships for College Store purchases. We will assist you at the Customer Service Desk in the back of the College Store.

Inclusive Access classes

If you are taking Inclusive Access classes at HFC, you will have access to your digital materials on the first day of class. The digital materials are included in your registration fees, and additional materials should not be necessary, depending on your class (i.e., BIO 131). Inclusive Access information is sent to your Hawkmail account 10 days prior to the start of classes for the semester.

Information on pickup and shipping

The College Store will offer store pickup at no charge for the Summer 2024 semester. Pickup customers should wait until you receive email notification that your order is ready for pickup. We may require 48-72 hours to process your order based on the volume and timing of orders we receive. We can process most orders more quickly than 48-72 hours, but we cannot guarantee it.

You can pick up your order in the store Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. We will need your order number and name for pickup. Online order pickup is available in Aisle 4 of the College Store (signs for the location are posted).

Pickup customers: please use the north entrance to HFC and park in Lot 3 near the College Store. We can also ship via UPS Ground. Shipping charges of $7.99 per order will be applied.

Rented textbook returns

Textbooks you rented for the Winter 2024 semester are due by Saturday, May 4. You may return your rented textbooks at the drop box located by the east entrance of the Learning Success Center (Building A on the main campus) or in the store.

You should tape a note to the book(s) with your name and HFC student ID number to ensure proper credit. The rental sticker on the back of the book(s) must also be intact to get credit for the return. Do not place the following books in the drop box:

• Books from the Eshleman Library
• Henry Ford Early College textbooks
• Surplus books
• Books for College Store Book Buyback

Winter 2024 book buyback

The College Store will hold our end-of-the-semester book buyback sale from Tuesday, April 30, through Friday, May 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
