Dr. Kyron Harvell enjoys working with HFC students, guiding them on their growth and development.

HFC experiences provided Dia Camara a sense of normalcy after the pandemic, gave him the drive to succeed academically.

HFC provided a strong foundation for Alicia Jackson to transfer to U-M. She has started a business, completed a bachelor's degree, holds a job, and is now pursuing graduate work at Wayne State.

Dr. Jeffrey Lee will be the keynote speaker at the Walking in Excellence Conference on Oct. 23. He will focus on retention, equity in education, and teacher diversity. The conference is free and open to the public.

"Arts of Defiance: Symbols of Hope," a poster-making workshop in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is open to the public on Thursday, January 22.
