Everyone is invited to attend Black History Month events at HFC to promote learning and understanding of this important commemoration.

Everyone is invited to meetings of the Dr. Henry J. Bowers Focus Group, a student support and learning organization at HFC. During February, the meetings will be devoted to learning and celebration about Black History Month.

Dr. Kalvin DaRonne Harvell will give a virtual keynote address, “Reintroducing Dr. King: Attempted Erasure and the Work of Recovery,” on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

"Arts of Defiance: Symbols of Hope," a poster-making workshop in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is open to the public on Thursday, January 22.

Dean Adrianne Washington of CCDC will talk about changing honors education at the Oct. 17 conference.

During her time at HFC, Buchi-Nkem Elizabeth Ezeoke has been involved with the Honors Program, the Dr. Henry J. Bowers Focus Group, The Mirror News, UROP, and MICUP.
