The HFC Office of Campus Safety is hosting an Active Shooter Training Session on Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 11:00 a.m. to noon in the Great Room (Rm. SN- 104) of the School of Nursing Building (Bldg. SN) on the East Campus, 3601 Schaefer Rd. in Dearborn.

Active shooter situations are unpredictable and can escalate rapidly. This training session provides guidance to the campus community in order to properly prepare in the event of a potential active shooter incident.

“This training provides guidance to the campus community so we can properly prepare in the event of a potential active shooter incident,” said HFC Campus Safety Associate Reginald Vaughn. “We strongly encourage and hope that you will participate in this opportunity.”

This training session is free and open to the entire HFC community – students, faculty, and staff. For staff members, we recommend you notify your supervisor of your planned attendance.

This is the second of two Active Shooter Training sessions offered in September. The first one is Wednesday, Sept. 21, on the main campus.

To register, contact Vaughn at 313-317-6831 or rwvaughn@hfcc.edu or Michael Ball at 313-317-6826 or msball@hfcc.edu.
