College Store online ordering for the Fall 2021 semester

The College Store (Building C on the main campus) online store is open for students to purchase textbooks, supplies, and HFC merchandise.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the on-campus College Store remains closed, and there is no in-store shopping. All orders for the Fall 2021 semester must be placed online.

Textbook information

Fall textbook information can be viewed on the College Store website. Book information on the website is updated as new orders are received.

Effective Monday, Aug. 9, students can begin using third party sponsorships. Sponsored students should email sponsorship@hfcc.edu with their name, student number, schedule, and company sponsor.

Effective Tuesday, Aug. 10, students can begin using financial aid for College Store online purchases. Students should check the maximum limit available prior to selecting Financial Aid as a payment method. All orders with insufficient aid funding will be canceled.

Information regarding pickup and shipping

The College Store will offer store pickup at no charge for the Fall 2021 semester. Pickup customers should wait until they receive email notification that their order is ready to pick up on campus. Orders may take up to 72 hours to be processed based on the volume of orders received. Once you have been notified that your order is ready, pick up your order in the front lobby of the Store Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Pickup customers should use the north entrance to the College and then park in Parking Lot No. 3 near the College Store. Customers will be asked to call 313-317-6585 upon arrival. College Store staff will need your order number and customer name.

Customers will proceed to the front entrance of the College Store and line up on the sidewalk in front of the store, keeping 6 ft. between customers to ensure safe social distancing. Face masks are required.

Orders can also be shipped via UPS Ground. Shipping charges of $7.99 per order will be applied.

Rental returns

The deadline for Summer 2021 rental returns is Tuesday, Aug. 17. Summer 2021 semester rental returns can be placed in the rental drop box by the Learning Success Center (Building A) near the flagpole and the circle drive off Evergreen. The drop box is located under the overhang by the east entrance to Building A.

Students should tape a note to the book with their name and student number to ensure proper credit to their account. The rental sticker on the back of the book must also be intact to get credit for the return. Other books, such as buybacks, surplus books, or books from Henry Ford Early College or the Eshleman Library, should not be placed in the drop box.

End of Summer 2021 semester book buyback

Book buyback in has been discontinued until the College Store reopens. Students can use this link to deal directly with Nebraska Book Company. There are other options available online for students who wish to sell their textbooks on their own.

Information regarding Financial Aid purchases

Financial aid cannot be used on the College Store website on Thursdays until the weekly refunds have been processed. This applies to Thursdays after the first refund process is run for the term.
