HFC and Detroit at Work offer free training in automotive services and culinary arts

HFC and Detroit at Work will offer free training in automotive services and culinary arts, beginning Jan. 13.

In partnership with Detroit at Work, HFC is offering free training in Automotive Services and Culinary Arts programs starting Monday, Jan. 13, at the Breithaupt Career and Technical Center, located at 9300 Hubbell in Detroit.

The training times for Automotive Services are Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The program begins Jan. 13 and runs through early June.

The training times for Culinary Arts are Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Culinary Arts program begins Jan. 13 and runs through early May.

These programs will provide substantial skills to advance your career. You may also choose to enroll at HFC to continue your studies and earn a degree.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for this free training, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a resident of the City of Detroit.
  • You must make less than $50,000/year.
  • You must have obtained either a high school diploma or GED certification.
