Henry Ford College Hosts Pre-Education Program University Transfer Advising Session Nov. 2

Event Date:
Fri, 11/02/2018 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Location:
ASCC (Building L) Rosenau Rooms

HFC will host a Pre-Education Program University Transfer Advising Session for pre-education program majors on Friday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Rosenau Rooms on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Bldg. L on the main campus).

The session will assist HFC pre-education students with transfer options and help them decide which 4-year college or university is best suited for them and their career aspirations.

Attendees at the Fall 2018 University Pre-Education Program Transfer Advising session will include:
• Alma College
• Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU)
• Eastern Michigan University (EMU)
• Madonna University
• Siena Heights University (SHU)
• University of Michigan–Dearborn (UM-Dearborn)
• Wayne State University

As a reminder, HFC hosts a University Center with SHU and Madonna on the third floor of HFC’s Welcome Center (Building WC) on the main campus. HFC’s agreement with SHU and Madonna provides enhanced educational opportunities for HFC students to seamlessly complete their associate degree at HFC and then complete their undergraduate degree from SHU or Madonna on HFC’s campus.

Some of the benefits of the University Center:
• Undergraduate and graduate classes offered at HFC
• Availability of evening, weekend, and hybrid classes
• Personalized advising
• Transfer-friendly policies and guarantees

Students need to dress professionally for the Nov. 2 session and should bring a copy of their transcript(s) – official or unofficial. They also need to bring nine 3x5 index cards that contain their name, contact information (phone number, email address, home address). They also need to list their area(s) of educational interest on these cards.

This event is free and open to those interested in pre-education. For questions or further information, contact Dr. Patricia Lanzon, HFC Pre-Education Director and education professor, at 313-317-1532 or planzon@hfcc.edu.
