Government financial aid websites shutdown Aug. 3 - 6

Federal Student Aid logo

Notice to HFC incoming and current students who have applied for federal financial aid:

Please be aware that Federal government websites relating to student financial aid will be OFFLINE for upgrades and maintenance on Friday, Aug. 3 through 8:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6.

This means you will not be able to access FAFSA information, specific financial aid information, and you will not be able to submit your FAFSA to Henry Ford College during the planned outage.

It also means HFC staff at the Welcome Center will not be able to assist you with any tasks requiring access to the federal websites (FAFSA, Federal Student Aid ID, review of student Pell and federal loan history, etc.) during our regular business hours on Friday, Aug. 3.

The website outage will have no effect on your personal financial aid planning or financial aid awards, but you will not be able to access information relating to your federal aid during this planned website outage. Federal student aid deadlines will not be pushed back due to the outage, so please plan ahead.
