HFC’s Fifty-One O One restaurant hosts Shrimp & Soul Seafood Buffet
The HFC student-run restaurant, Fifty-One O One, will host its first special event of the Winter 2026 semester, the Shrimp & Soul Seafood Buffet, on Wednesday, February 18, in the John McDonald Student & Culinary Arts Center (Building M on the main campus).
The hours for the Shrimp & Soul Buffet, which will cost $21.95 per person, are:
- 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (lunch)
- 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (dinner)
A feast for the soul
The menu items include:
- Smoke-roasted pork loin with peach BBQ sauce
- Beer-battered cod
- Country-fried boneless chicken breast
- Mac ‘N Cheese Action Station (with mix-ins)
- Southern style green brains
- Braised collard greens
- Rice pilaf
- Sweet potato casserole
- Shellfish clam chowder
- Peel & eat shrimp
- Mustard potato salad
- Creamy coleslaw
Bakery specialty items include:
- Corn muffins
- Pecan pie
- Peach cobbler
- Red velvet cake
- Mississippi mud pie
- Red velvet cake
- Banana pudding
The salad bar is included in the price of the buffet. It features mixed greens, pickled and fresh vegetables, and house-made dressings. Coffee, tea, or soft drinks are also included in the price of the buffet. Beer and wine are available for purchase to customers ages 21 and older with a valid photo ID.
