The Hawks’ 2025-26 season in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) has concluded.

The season included competitive highlights from HFC’s spring sports teams: baseball, softball, and golf.

Baseball

The HFC Baseball team had a great season, finishing with a record of 32-16. Despite several of its pitchers suffering injuries, the Hawks were able to eliminate perennial powerhouse Lansing Community College and advance to the Region 12 Championship tournament.

“Our coaching staff has done an incredible job leading this group and getting the most out of their available talent,” said HFC Associate Athletic Director Kirk Bradley.

The following baseball players were honored in the post-season:

  • Casey Robertson: All-Region, All-MCCAA, First-Team All-Conference.
  • Braylon Orsette: All-Region, All-MCCAA, First-Team All-Conference.
  • Hunter Whitt: Second-Team All-Conference, All-Freshman Team.
  • Emmanuel Gutierrez: Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Softball

While the HFC Softball team did not qualify for the postseason, they managed to double their total number of prior year wins from 7 to 14. Addison Butt had a breakout season and was named the MCCAA Player of the Week for two consecutive weeks.

“Coach (Steve) Littleton has already signed more than 10 players for the next season and will work with them to continue their upward trajectory,” said Bradley.

The following softball players were honored in the post-season:

  • Addison Butt: All-Region, All-MCCAA, First-Team All-Conference, All-Freshman Team, Freshman of the Year.
  • Addison Tavulares: Second-Team All-Conference.
  • Alayna Crosby: Second-Team All-Conference.

Golf

The HFC Golf team competed in several MCCAA invitations and regional tournaments. Billy Sennett, Jr. finished first (out of 65 golfers) at the MCCAA Conference Championship. He and fellow HFC golfer Landen Dougherty both earned spots on 2026 Region XII Division II Men’s Golf All-Region Team. Sennett and Dougherty also earned the following post-season honors:

  • Sennett.: All-Region, All-Conference, All-Freshman Team, MCCAA Championship Medalist.
  • Dougherty: All-Region, All-Conference.

“These athletes represented HFC well and have done us proud,” said Bradley. “It’s been a great season, but I’m looking forward to next season even more. It’s a great day to be a Hawk!”
