Celebrate Oktoberfest at HFC on Oct. 1
Prost! (Or in English, cheers!) It’s that time of year again – Oktoberfest is back at HFC award-winning, student-run restaurant, Fifty-One O One, in the John McDonald Student and Culinary Arts Center (Building M on the main campus). This one-day event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch, and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for dinner.
This hearty German buffet will transport you straight to Bavaria! You will enjoy an authentic, buffet-style feast that includes:
- Frankenmuth style chicken
- Sauerbraten (carved to order)
- Bratwurst and knackwurst with sauerkraut
- Braised red cabbage
- Spätzle
- Hot German potato salad
- Bavarian potato soup
- Glazed baby carrots
A fresh soup and salad bar:
- Tossed garden salad with assorted house-made dressings
- Assorted pickled and fresh vegetables
- Cucumbers with dill and sour cream dressing
- Marinated beet salad
And for dessert:
- Apple strudel
- Black Forest torte
- Stollen bread
- Pretzel rolls
Craft beer and wine will be available for purchase for customers ages 21 and older with a valid photo ID.
