Fifty-One O One hosts annual Holiday Buffet on November 12
HFC’s student-run Fifty-One O One restaurant will hold its annual Holiday Buffet – one of its most popular special events – in the John McDonald Student and Culinary Arts Center (Building M on the main campus) on Wednesday, November 12.
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner:
- 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
“Each year, the Holiday Buffet gives our guests an opportunity to celebrate the season while supporting the next generation of culinary professionals,” said HFC culinary arts instructor and Fifty-One O One maître d'hôtel Lauren Wallace.
The menu will include:
- Roast turkey (with pan gravy and bread dressing)
- Baked Dearborn Ham (with glazed with raisin cider sauce)
- Roast Beef Bordelaise
- Harvest squash soup
- Mashed potatoes
- Sweet potatoes (with pecans and maple glaze)
- Fall vegetable medley
There will also be a salad bar, where you can choose among:
- Marinated beet salad
- Carrot raisin salad
- Garden green salad
- Cranberry relish
- Pickled and fresh vegetables
- House-made dressings
For dessert:
- Pumpkin roll
- Assorted seasonal pies
- Assorted tortes and other treats
The cost of the buffet is $21.95 per person (this includes coffee, tea, or soft drinks). Craft beer and wine will be available for purchase at both lunch and dinner if you are 21 or older with a valid photo ID.
