Phi Theta Kappa invites you to April induction ceremony
The HFC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for community college students, will host its annual induction ceremony to welcome new members on Friday, April 28, at 6:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Forfa Auditorium in the Administrative Services & Conference Center (Bldg. L) on the main campus.
This ceremony will include a dinner. Our guest speakers will include:
- HFC President Russell Kavalhuna
- HFC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Michael Nealon
- HFC English instructor Dr. Courtney Matthews
The deadline to RSVP for the PTK Induction Ceremony is Friday, April 14

PTK membership requirements
PTK’s high standards are based on the attributes of community service, leadership, fellowship, and scholarship. Membership requirements include:
- Enrolled in good standing at HFC
- An overall GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Completion of a minimum of 12 credit hours
Many PTK members have successfully transferred to four-year colleges and universities over th eyears. They have gone on to major leadership roles at the national and international level. PTK also offers opportunities to apply for student scholarships.
All high-academic-achieving students at HFC are invited to consider membership in PTK. You do not need to be a member of the Henry Ford II Honors Program to be in PTK, although many honors students are PTK members.
