Student Council invites candidates to apply by March 5
The HFC Student Council is seeking elected members for the 2021-22 academic year. Those who are interested in seeking office should fill out an application and send it to HFC Student Activities Officer Cassandra Fluker at crfluker@hfcc.edu no later than Friday, March 5.
Executive and general council seats are available. All applications should be completed and submitted online.
Requirements for candidates
All candidates must have a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 2.5.
Further, all candidates cannot be a member of any of the following:
If elected, Student Council members must meet the following requirements:
Maintain a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 2.5
Complete a minimum of six credits each semester at HFC
Maintain integrity and comply with the HFC Student Code of Conduct
Serve on a College committee
Student Council's purpose
The purpose of HFC Student Council is:
To enhance the quality of student life through effective representation of the HFC student body
To provide an organized means of expression for HFC students
To represent the students’ perspective on various College committees as they pertain to students’ interests
Candidates may campaign only after their applications have been received and they are contacted by the HFC Student Affairs Office (SAO). The elections will take place on Tuesday, March 16, and Wednesday March 17.
