“How to navigate conversations with divergent views” panel discussion
One of several SAFE@HFC Campus Pride Events will be the panel discussion, “How to Successfully Navigate Conversations with Divergent Points of View,” is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. via Zoom. Please register in advance.
This panel discussion will touch on viewpoints from the LGBTQ+ perspective. However, this discussion could have far-reaching effects for all marginalized and disenfranchised groups.
The panelists who will be speaking include:
• Liam Holland Vella, an HFC alumnus and founder of Support the T, a project dedicated to helping transgendered people raise money toward their transition goals by creating and selling custom T-shirts.
• Mark Saint Amour of the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Allendale.
• Jonathan L. Miller, Dean of Students at Northern Essex Community College (NECC) in Essex County, MA.
• Loyce Brown, Equity Officer and Title IX Coordinator at Delta College in University Center.
