UPDATE: College summer holiday schedule

Summer holidays 2020

Update, May 4, 2020

Due to the pandemic, the planned move of some departments to a summer schedule has been postponed indefinitely. All HFC departments and units will remain on a 5-day work schedule until further notice. One of the main reasons for the partial move to a 4-day schedule was to save on HVAC costs on campus. This is no longer relevant.

Please review the information below for dates, hours, and holiday time reporting for the Memorial Day and Independence Day holidays.

NOTE: The College will be closed both July 3 and July 6 to observe the Independence Day holiday.

Summer hours start date and end date

As noted above, regular work hours will remain in effect until further notice. We will not shift to a 4-day week.

Important fall 2020 dates:

  • The State of the College meeting and faculty report date will be Tuesday, August 25.
  • Fall classes begin Thursday, August 27.
  • The Labor Day holiday is Monday, Sept. 7.

Student Affairs departments remaining on a 5-day summer schedule
