Eric Rader and other HFC supporters advocate in Lansing

Eric Rader in Lansing

Faculty member Eric Rader joined the Red for Ed rally of more than 2,500 people at the State Capitol in Lansing to support Governor Whitmer's proposed increase in education funding. HFC operates at 1999 funding levels, and supports the movement toward greater funding for public education.

Rader and others wore red T-shirts with the slogan: "Value students. Respect educators. Fund our schools."

"I'm here today to urge the legislature to do the right thing and approve our governor's budget," he said.

Governor Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Gilchrist also joined the rally.
