Condolences to our community following the death of HFC student Ahmed Altaii

It is with deep sadness and regret that we inform you of the death of Ahmed Altaii, 19, a Henry Ford College student and 2017 graduate of Dearborn Fordson High School. He died March 9 while on a trip to Mexico. A community vigil to remember Ahmed took place in Dearborn March 10.

Ahmed was dual enrolled at HFC while at Fordson. He enrolled at HFC last year as a student in the School of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Professional Development, where he was pursuing a business curriculum.

Ahmed’s passing is a terrible loss for our community. All of us at Henry Ford College send our deepest condolences and sympathy to the family and friends who are suffering from this tragedy.
