HFCC to present Spring Band Concert May 3

The annual HFCC Spring Band Concert, conducted by Rick Goward, will take place Tuesday, May 3, at 8 p.m. at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn.

This annual concert features the Metropolitan Symphony Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble. As the largest community college concert band in Michigan, the Metropolitan Symphony Band includes HFCC music students, advanced placement high school students, students from neighboring universities and members of the community. HFCC’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble is often called the HFCC “instrumental honors group” and features the top musicians from other HFCC bands in performances of challenging compositions and transcriptions.
