Special delivery: HFC welcomes Jamie Monberg to the Mailroom

A new face has been making the rounds, delivering the mail on HFC’s main campus: Senior Mail Clerk Jamie Monberg.

“I was looking for something close to home and was eager to be a part of a team with whom I can grow,” said Monberg. “HFC checked both those boxes.”

A lifelong Dearborn resident, Monberg is the youngest of four. She has been married to Paul Monberg, Jr. since October 2025. After graduating from Dearborn High School, Monberg earned her associate degree in graphic design from Schoolcraft College.

Prior to coming to HFC, Monberg worked for a year in the retail industry. She joined HFC in late 2025, replacing Kathy Rathwell, who retired. Besides delivering the mail, Monberg also fills supply orders on campus. She reports to Purchasing Director Dan Murray.

It's a nice feeling to want to come to work each day

“I really like the people I get to work with every day,” said Monberg. “Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful in training me. It’s a nice feeling wanting to come to work each morning.”

Monberg hopes to make her career at the College.

“I see myself growing with HFC and learning more about different departments,” she said. “The fact that it’s close to my home where I was born and raised means a lot. It’s an ideal situation for me.”

Murray has enjoyed working with Monberg.

“We are happy Jamie is now a part of the HFC family,” he said. “Her positive attitude, outgoing personality, and strong work ethic are an asset to our department and the College. We are hopeful Jamie will have a long, successful career here.”
