The Hawk Career Exploration Academy (HCEA) offers engaging classes designed to support career exploration in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) fields for students in 6th through 12th grade. All sessions occur in the Technology Building (Building E on the main campus) on various dates and times.

The Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative (D3C3) is sponsoring the HCEA. Classes are offered at a reduced cost of $25 per participant for the entire session.

“Through hands-on activities and interactive STEAM experiences, participants are encouraged to think critically about their future education and career pathways. These sessions aim to spark curiosity, build confidence, and expose youth to a variety of high-demand fields,” said HFC Workforce Development Program Manager Cassandra Myers.
