Student Activities will sponsor an on-campus volunteer opportunity, “Crafting for a Cause,” on Wednesday, February 25, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the pavilion of the John McDonald Student and Culinary Arts Center (Building M on the main campus).
We will prep materials for educational and creative reuse programs through Arts & Scraps in Detroit. Arts & Scraps is a nonprofit organization that focuses on creatively repurposing materials that would otherwise go to waste. We will also decorate brown paper lunch bags to support children receiving lunches from food pantries, make greeting cards for nursing home residents, and more.
This volunteer opportunity is free and open to the public. For questions or more information, contact Kayla Collins at 313-317-1756 or krcollins3@hfcc.edu.
