HFC volleyball team home opener welcomes Hawks fans
The HFC volleyball team begins the 2025-26 season with its home opener against Macomb Community College on Wednesday, September 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Athletic Memorial Building (Building H on the main campus).
“We’re hoping to fill the bleachers. The Hawks have worked hard in practice and now have a chance to prove it on the court,” said Coach Kija Chambers, who is starting her fourth season as head coach.
“We are thrilled to kick off our home schedule and showcase the hard work of our players and coaches. We are looking forward to creating a great atmosphere in the gym and setting the tone for an exciting season,” said HFC Associate Athletic Director Kirk Bradley.
The HFC Welcome Center teams encourage all HFC employees to connect with the players and the team by attending the game together and cheering on the Hawks! HFC students and employees are admitted free with their HFC ID.
“This is a great way to create and establish a relationship with everyone involved,” said HFC Enrollment Services Proctor Alecia Carter.
