HFC offers 8-week Sewing Basics class
HFC will offer an 8-week class called Sewing Basics every Saturday from October 18 through December 13 (except November 29 due to the Thanksgiving holiday) from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Technology Building (Building E on the main campus).
Join us for this 8-week class to build a strong foundation in sewing from understanding and creating patterns to mastering basic stitches and machine techniques. With an emphasis on precision, innovation, and polished outcomes, this program prepares you to bring your visions to life and stand out in the competitive world of fashion design.
In this class, you will:
- Learn the fundamentals of pattern drafting, machine sewing, and garment construction.
- Refine craftsmanship through hands-on practice.
- Advance into complex pattern making, professional sewing techniques, and finishing methods that meet industry standards.
- Build a portfolio highlighting your unique style, creativity, and technical mastery.
All sewing essentials and notions are included. You will need to supply your own fabrics (instructor guidance is available). The cost for Sewing Basics is $105. Please register at the link above.
