HFC alumna Alicia Jackson won $7,000 from the optiMize Social Innovation Challenge Fellowship, which she will use toward DIME Above the Line, the nonprofit she founded.

On Thursday, September 25, optimize will hold two information sessions in the Rosenau Rooms on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L on the main campus):

  • Session 1: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Session 2: 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

An award-winning, student-led community on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, optiMize gives students the opportunity to learn how to create a passion project/venture in which they can gain mentorship, community engagement, and networking opportunities. At the end of their experience, students can pitch and win up to $10,000 to fund their project through optiMize.

Students are eligible to participate in optiMize while attending HFC. Earlier this year, HFC alumna Alicia Jackson was rewarded $7,000 through optiMize to support her nonprofit work, Dime Above The Line.

The Henry Ford II Honors Program and optiMize are sponsoring the information sessions. All students are welcome! For questions or more information, contact Chardin Claybourne at 313-845-9818 or cclaybourne@hfcc.edu.
