Human Resources will host an employee wellness event on Monday, October 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Community Rooms on the first floor of the Welcome Center (Building WC on the main campus).

There will be two components to help you relax and de-stress: 15-minute chair massages and therapy dogs.

Chair massages

There are 30 available slots, which will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Community Rooms will open at 10:30 a.m. for you to sign up for a 15-minute time slot.

The benefits of massage therapy include:

  • Reducing stress, anxiety, and muscle soreness
  • Reducing tension headaches
  • Restoring mental clarity and alertness
  • Boosting morale

During the massage, no oils will be used, nor will clothing be removed. We recommend you dress comfortably, wearing a shirt/blouse that allows you to freely move your arms.

Therapy dogs

There will be one or more therapy dog (and their handler) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the courtyard area of the Welcome Center to interact with employees as a stress reducing activity. Therapy dogs are trained to be friendly and provide affection and companionship.

This event is free and open to all HFC employees.
