MCCAA Eastern Conference Champion baseball team heads to regionals!

T he HFC Hawks baseball team won the MCCAA Eastern Conference last weekend, and advances to the NJCAA Region XII Division II Baseball Championship! This is the Hawks' first baseball conference championship since 1996!

The Region XII Championship is an eight-team tournament. The Hawks are the Number 3 seed and will host number 6 Macomb Community College in a best-of-three series starting Thursday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Harwell Baseball Field on the campus of Wayne State University. If a third game is necessary, it will be played on Friday, May 9 at 1:00 pm.

The winner of the series advances to a four-team, double-elimination tournament at Jackson College on May 15, 16 and 17. The Region XII Division II champion will advance to the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series in Enid, Oklahoma.
