HFC offers two 8-week sewing classes in the Winter 2026 semester

Each session will be $130 or $150, depending on the session.


HFC will offer two 8-week sewing classes from January 12, 2026 through March 7, 2026 in the Technology Building (Building E on the main campus).

The two sewing classes are:

  • Sewing Basics: Foundations of Sewing: This course teaches students the fundamentals of sewing through hands-on practice and guided instruction.
  • Sewing Intermediate: Strengthening Skills and Techniques: This course is designed for students who have mastered basic sewing skills and are ready to advance their technique and confidence.

Sewing Basics will be offered in three sessions:

  • Session I – Saturdays: January 17, 2026 through March 7, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Session II – Mondays: January 12, 2026 through March 2, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Session III – Tuesdays: January 13, 2026 through March 3, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Sewing Intermediate will be offered in three sessions:

  • Session I – Saturdays: January 17, 2026 through March 7, 2026 from noon to 2:30 p.m.
  • Session II – Mondays: January 12, 2026 through March 2, 2026 from noon to 2:30 p.m.
  • Session III – Thursdays: January 15, 2026 through March 5, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

With a focus on precision, innovation, and professional finishing techniques, our program empowers you to bring your creative ideas to life and stand out in the world of fashion design. Join us to elevate your sewing skills – one stitch at a time.

As a student, you will:

  • Learn the fundamentals of pattern drafting, machine sewing, and garment construction.
  • Refine craftsmanship through hands-on practice.
  • Advance into complex pattern making, professional sewing techniques, and finishing methods that meet industry standards.
  • Build a portfolio highlighting your unique style, creativity, and technical mastery.

All sewing essentials and notions are included. Students will need to supply their own fabrics (instructor guidance is available) for your individual projects.

  • The cost of enrolling in Sewing Basics is $130 per session.
  • The cost of enrolling in Sewing Intermediate is $150 per session.
