Campus Safety will host a Service Animal Awareness information session on Wednesday, June 19, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Berry Auditorium on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L on the main campus).

Adriza Caesar from Assisted Learning Services (ALS) will be the presenter.

“Service animals undergo specialized training to assist students (and others) with disabilities across various aspects of the college experience,” said Caesar. “This helps students with disabilities actively engage in their college experience, fostering an inclusive environment.”

At this information session, you will learn the difference between a service animal, a therapy animal, and an emotional support animal.

This information session is free and open to the public. You are invited to register for this event at campussafety@hfcc.edu, but this is not required. For questions or more information, contact Campus Safety at campussafety@hfcc.edu.
