Effective Monday, December 11, the HFC Office of Campus Safety will engage Allied Universal as its new security partner.

The existing contract with Securitas has expired. Allied Universal previously worked with HFC from 2006-11.

In 2016, AlliedBarton and Universal Services of America merged to form Allied Universal, making it the largest security company in North America. The company, which employs approximately 800,000 people, focuses on services such as:

  • Access control
  • Intrusion
  • Alarm detection
  • IP-based video systems

HFC employs 10 full-time Campus Safety associates. Allied Universal will provide 10 additional contract security officers. This will continue HFC’s practice of having two contract security officers for each shift.

Karen Schoen, Campus Safety Manager, expects uninterrupted professional service as the College works with Allied Universal. For questions of more information, contact Schoen at 313-845-9849 or kschoen@hfcc.edu.
