MAT² Applicant Interview Day and Parent Information Session March 4
HFC will host a MAT² Applicant Interview Day and Parent Information Session on Saturday, March 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the M-TEC Building on the HFC East Campus at 3601 Schaefer Rd. in Dearborn.
At this session, students will learn about:
- Benefits of an “earn while you learn” apprenticeship program
- Opportunities at MAT² Network Companies
- Apprenticeship schedule and curriculum
While students are interviewing with MAT² employers, parents will have a chance to learn more about the MAT² program.
What is MAT²?
Managed by the German American Chamber of Congress of the Midwest, Inc. since 2019, HFC offers students the opportunity through the Michigan Advanced Technician Training (MAT²) program to earn a fully-funded associate degree in any of the following:
MAT² is an industry-driven program in which sponsoring companies partner with HFC to cultivate talent and ensure a globally competitive workforce. Sponsoring companies help train and employ MAT² students as they pursue their associate degree at HFC. The College provides the classroom instruction, practical training, and on-the-job experience needed to ensure highly-skilled, readily employable graduates.
