UM holds transfer info events throughout the summer
HFC students wishing to transfer to the University of Michigan (U-M) in Ann Arbor, M-Connect is holding virtual events for prospective transfer students throughout the summer of 2021.
By taking pre-requisite coursework at HFC, students will be considered for admission to one of U-M’s 13 undergraduate schools and colleges. Through M-Connect, students can receive:
- Guidance through the U-M application process
- Assistance in selecting classes that are transferable
- Access to group meetings and seminars that make transferring smoother
- Access to research opportunities
- One-on-one counseling and mentorship at U-M
- Access to SuccessConnects program at U-M
- Orientation to U-M resources
Listed below are various colleges and programs at U-M that will hold transfer webinars over the course of this summer:
- School of Kinesiology
- School of Denistry
- Stamps School of Art and Design
- School of Nursing
- College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA)
- College of Engineering
There will also be webinars on transferring to U-M, which are recommended for prospective students to attend, regardless of their field of study:
- "Making the Leap: Student Perspectives on Transferring to University" on July 21
- Office of Undergraduate Admissions Virtual Transfer Spotlight on June 23 and July 28
