Return to Campus Plan: Student Affairs and Enrollment Services, Welcome Center

HFC Interim Vice President of Student Affairs Holly Diamond shares the following information about her division's plans to return to campus this fall.

The Welcome Center (WC) on our main campus is not yet open. Remote services are available for all enrollment needs!

However, some community members have been stopping by with requests to access WC services. Because we cannot yet address these needs in-person, we encourage you not to come to the Welcome Center. Please continue accessing our services remotely.

Due to the volume of drop-in traffic, we do have two staff members in the lobby of the Welcome Center to provide information about how to access our virtual services. These workers have a one-page document that lists all the relevant information. This document is also available outside the WC for those who decide to come to campus after hours. Please do not come to campus for services yet. We will need to direct you to our remote services, which you may access from the comfort of your home.

Phased Welcome Center staff return begins Sept. 7

The Student Affairs division will begin transitioning back to campus on Tuesday, Sept. 7. Each Student Affairs department has a plan that offers both in-person and virtual services.

The transition back to on-campus services will be staggered and rotational. This means that everyone will not be there at one time. Due to staffing shortages, each department may have different plans than others within Student Affairs.

Please ask students not to come to the Welcome Center at this time. We will begin making on-campus appointments when our staff have returned later this fall. Remote services are available throughout the week.
