HFC Human Resources Customer Service Leader Adam Jaber was recently promoted to Interim Human Resources Information Systems (HR-IS) Analyst.

In his new position, Jaber will oversee HR’s software systems, providing troubleshooting and maintenance. In addition, he will be instrumental in selecting and implementing a new, comprehensive HR software system that will replace Cornerstone in January 2022. He reports to HFC Vice President of Strategy and Human Resources Dr. Lori Gonko.

“I will evaluate the systems’ reliability, accuracy, and security,” said Jaber. “I will also see what needs to be improved and updated to ensure optimal usage for both HR and the end users.”

“Adam is well-suited to take on the challenge of revamping our HR software systems,” said Gonko. “He possesses a great deal of technical expertise and approaches his work from an analytical and strategic mindset. I am confident that he is going to excel in this role and bring our HR systems into the present.”

Born in Iraq and raised in Lebanon, Jaber came to the United States in 2014 to pursue a college education at Davenport University in Warren. There, he completed his bachelor’s degree in human resource management. Previously, Jaber earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the Lebanese International University. He has also completed some graduate coursework in human resources at Davenport.

Jaber, who speaks fluent Arabic and English, lives in St. Clair Shores with Jennifer, his wife of six years who was his international advisor when he first enrolled at Davenport. Last year, he officially became a naturalized American citizen. He has worked at HFC since 2017.
