HFC softball players honored at 2021 MCCAA Eastern Conference Softball Awards

Members of the HFC softball team – this season’s MCCAA Eastern Conference Champions – were recently honored at the 2021 MCCAA Eastern Conference Softball Awards.

The players honored include:

  • Moya Jones: An alumna of Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, Jones has been named All Region, All-MCCAA, 1st Team All-Conference, and Player of the Year.
  • Anna Atherton: An alumna of Huron High School in New Boston, Atherthon has been named All Region, All-MCCAA, 1st Team All-Conference, and All-Freshman Team.
  • Kennedy Cornette: An alumna of Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, Cornette has been named All Region, All-MCCAA, and 1st Team All-Conference.
  • Brenna McCalister: An alumna of Allen Park High School has been named 2nd Team All-Conference.
  • Lauren Gannon: An alumna of Airport High School in Carelton, Gannon has been named 2nd Team All-Conference.

Additionally, Coach Steve Brown, who has been leading the softball team since 2018, has been named Coach of the Year.

“I am extremely proud of each and every one of these players!” said Brown.
