Join HFC English instructor Kimberly Occhipinti, the HFC 2021 Faculty Lectureship Award winner, via Zoom on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 6:00 p.m.

Occhipinti’s presentation is called “Visual Rhetoric and Technology in the Classroom.” Occhipinti undertook a three-phase research process that investigated the visual rhetoric and design of technology used in the classroom. She will describe results relating to the following classroom applications:

  • Zoom web conferencing
  • Video / screen-casting
  • Social media
  • Images / slides
  • Google Docs

She will speak for 45 minutes and answer questions for 15 minutes. Faculty survey results from the Winter 2021 semester helped guide the perception of these applications and their correlation to the HFC student population.
