Dear Students and Faculty,

Last weekend’s flooding caused damage to the system that controls the air conditioning to most of the buildings on the HFC main campus. Repairs are underway, and we now know they will take several days.

Because of this air conditioning outage, some on-campus classes will be held online or in different buildings (with air conditioning) through the rest of this week. These decisions are made on a class-by-class basis.

Students taking summer on-campus classes: your faculty members will have specific information about your individual classes. If you are taking an on-campus class this summer and you have not heard from your faculty member about your class by tomorrow, please reach out to them and ask about the status of your class.

If you are not able to reach your faculty member, you may check with your dean’s office (the programs in each school are listed with these links):

Business, Entrepreneurship, and Professional Development (BEPD)

Health and Human Services (HHS)

Liberal Arts

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)

All remote operations and services will continue as normal.

The College will be closed Monday, July 5, to observe the Independence Day holiday.

Thank you for bearing with us as we repair the cooling system and return to our summer on-campus operations next week.
