Join the MSU LBGT Resource Center, hosted by MI Ace's Women's Network, for an introduction to pronouns beyond the binary!

What should we know about pronouns?

It can be difficult to speak without using pronouns. After all, we have been socialized and educated to use them. Despite the everyday use of pronouns, their impact on understanding gender expression and gender identity is often underestimated.

In an effort to better serve our students and each other, we will discuss how to ask for people's pronouns, how to share your own, what to do when you make a mistake, and why using "they" as a singular pronoun is not a new phenomenon!

We will also hear from our colleagues from the University of Michigan-Flint, as they share tried-and-tested strategies that foster inclusivity, while enhancing growth and leadership skills.

Presenters: Jesse Beal and Oprah Jrenel, LGBT Resource Center-MSU
Samara Hough and Sarah Devitt, Center for Gender and Sexuality-UM Flint

Who is invited?

You are invited. This is an inclusive event, and everyone is welcome, no matter what pronouns you use!
