Seeking summer research opportunities? HFC will host a free Summer Research Symposium and Workshop on Friday, Jan. 24, for students interested in the STEM fields.

The HFC College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) will hold its Summer Research Symposium and Workshop on Friday, Jan. 24, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Roseanau Rooms, located in the ASCC (Bldg. L).

Students can learn about summer research opportunities in the STEM fields and need to bring their résumé for feedback!

The workshop is divided into two parts. From 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.:
• Welcome and introductions
• Success stories from previous students
• Tips for application letters
• Learn the format for a scientific résumé

From 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., there will be a workshop for revising résumés and application letters. Various four-year academic partners attending this workshop include:
• University of Michigan
• Eastern Michigan University
• University of Detroit Mercy
• Wayne State University
• Lawrence Technological University in Southfield
