Personalized Tutoring

All tutoring in the Learning Lab will be conducted by faculty and professional tutors, who will meet with students one-on-one via appointment. If tutors do not have any appointments, they are available for “drop-in” sessions.

Students can schedule an appointment with a tutor by using TutorTrac (HFC username/password are required).

All appointments with tutors use Microsoft Teams (HFC username/password are required). Students will need to have Microsoft Team open for their tutoring sessions. You can download Teams for Desktop or Mobile.

Student support resources for Teams are available here.

Tutors are able to assist with the following types of courses:

  • Accounting
  • Architecture
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • English
  • Graphic Design
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Respiratory Therapy

While most tutoring support will be online, select Career Technical Education (CTE) programs with classes meeting on-campus, might have face-to-face tutoring available, with social distancing and masks. This will take place at the discretion of the program lead/director.

NetTutor for all disciplines

NetTutor provides drop-in tutoring for many disciplines taught at HFC. This is a complete list of courses supported via NetTutor. A printable version of this list is also available.

Students can access NetTutor through HFC Online/Moodle (HFC username/password are required):
