Under the leadership of editor-in-chief Fatima Nkata and faculty advisor Dr. Peter Kim, The Mirror News – HFC’s student-run newspaper – has published its first edition for the Fall 2020 semester, which will be exclusively online for the foreseeable future. A new edition will be live at the end of each month.

This current edition highlights how HFC is responding to the coronavirus pandemic and how the College community is adapting to the new normal – from the perspective of students. Articles include:

  • How students have faced additional challenges moving online when taking hands-on classes such as art, music, and automotive classes
  • How Fifty-One O One is open for carryout this semester
  • The safety protocols for HFC STEM labs
  • There are also reviews of hit TV shows Cobra Kai and Person of Interest and the Robin Williams documentary called Robin’s Wish.

The Mirror News staff is doing exemplary work under difficult conditions,” said Kim. “When it is safe to return to campus and distribute and circulate the newspaper safely, The Mirror News will recommence producing a print edition.”
