SSA Trunk or Treat 2019 recap

HFC Assistant Director of Financial Aid Stephanie Latzke hands out treats to youngsters at the 2018 Trunk or Treat event.

On October 25, the Support Staff Association (SSA) Social Committee hosted the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat event and it was a huge success! Trunk or Treat provides a safe, fun and family-friendly environment to enjoy Halloween festivities and for children to trick or treat.

SSA would like to thank HFC Employees, HFC Students, Community Members and Partners in their efforts to make this event especially spooktacular with candy donations, volunteering their time and support!

Trunk or Treat hosted a total of 353 Trunk or Treaters with a total 534 event attendees.

Families were able to enjoy:

  • 53 Trunk or Treat car stations

  • Arts & Scraps provided holiday theme craft activity

  • Local Food Truck

  • Live magician show

All free of charge!

Event attendees also participated in Best Trunk Contest judging. Congratulations Wayne County Airport for placing 1st place, see other rankings listed below. Thank you to all of Trunk or Treat "trunk" participants for providing a safe environment for children to trick or treat for the holiday.

3rd Place Henry Ford College EMS Students

There were a total of 3 winners for the Children's Basket Raffle, Congratulations to Trunk or Treater children raffle winners.
