HFC Participates in National Fire Prevention Week Oct. 8-10

HFC will host activities for National Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 6-12.

Join us for the following events:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 8; Wednesday, Oct. 9; Thursday, Oct. 10: Information about fire safety and prevention will be available at a tent just outside the Student & Culinary Arts Center (Bldg. M) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 8; Wednesday, Oct. 9; Thursday, Oct. 10: HFC Campus Safety Associate Michael Charette, a 30-year veteran of the Southfield Fire Department, will conduct a firehose demonstration on the lawn between the north side of the ASCC (Bldg. L) and the south side of the Student Center (Bldg. M) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, Oct. 9: A lecture on fire safety and prevention will be held in Rm. M-119 of the Student Center (Bldg. M) from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. and from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.: A firetruck from the Dearborn Fire Dept. will be parked in the visitors parking lot, located by Campus Safety (Bldg. N). A firefighter from the DFD will explain its various controls and functions.
