The 2019 HFC Annual Student Art Exhibition opens Monday, April 1, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Sisson Gallery (Rm. F-155) in Fine Arts (Building F). The awards presentation will be at 5:30 p.m.

This exhibition features work from HFC Art and Design classes from the 2018-19 academic year. This is a faculty-submitted exhibition, not a student-entered exhibition; therefore, it is only open to coursework completed at HFC.

While the initial jurying is done by the HFC Art and Design faculty, an outside juror will select a group of award winners. This year's Award Juror is Gary Ciccarelli, who recently had an exhibition in the Sisson Gallery. There will be cash awards from funds contributed by HFC Art and Design faculty, as well as Blick Art Materials gift cards.

The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, runs through Thursday, April 11. The Sisson Gallery hours are:
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• The Sisson Gallery will also be open Saturday, April 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as part of the Dearborn Gallery Rally.

NOTE: Since “Life Drawing” is part of the Studio Art curriculum, there are drawings of nude models on display. For questions or more information, contact Steve Glazer 313-845-6485 or sglazer@hfcc.edu. Visit the Sisson Gallery at sisson.hfcc.edu.
